Nicole creates organic, sensual sculptural bodies that strive to give shape to the complexity of human sensations and celebrate intimacy with ourself and the facets of our emotions.
Her process investigates clay and its possibilities without ever losing sight of the human and emotional component that inevitably permeates the creative act.
Colour is explored through the study of glaze but also through the use of other materials she comes across with.

Nicole Scarpa crea cuerpos escultóricos orgánicos y sensuales que se esfuerzan por dar forma a la complejidad de las sensaciones humanas, la intimidad con nosotros mismos y las facetas de nuestras emociones.
Su medio creativo es el barro y su proceso investiga sus posibilidades sin perder nunca de vista el componente humano y emocional que inevitablemente impregna el acto de creación.
El color se explora a través del estudio del esmalte pero también mediante otros materiales posibles.

BIOGRAPHY
Nicole Scarpa (b. 1993 Milan, Italy) is an Italian artist who lives and works in Mallorca, Spain.
She was admitted at the Corrie Bain International School of Ceramics in Barcelona, where she immersed herself in a period of intense study and practice.
Scarpa has been an assistant to several internationally recognized artists and it will be at ESBLANK where she will present a new project titled SOMNI.
